The first ever ghd Experts Awards saw hunderds of ghd Experts from salons around the UK submit entries in four categories; Kidnapped from the Catwalk, Promotion, Classic Chic and Retail culminating in a glittering and glamorous Awards evening at über-cool venue Sketch.

As winner of 'Kidnapped from the Catwalk' Freddy Antabi Hair Studio won a VIP trip to New York Fashion Week worth £10,000 plus £1,000 presented by celebrity stylist Paul Merrit.

Hosted by ghd education director Beth Watson, the awards were presented by top-name judges before the ghd Directive presented a hi-energy show and guests were entertained until the small hours as they danced and schmoozed in the bar.
